You can listen to this past Sunday’s letter recording via the player embedded in this letter, or you can open the recording in your preferred podcast app.
This is the fifth episode of Mind Marginalia and it’s a special edition because it contains not only the recording of Sunday’s letter “Tokyo,” but it also includes information on a cause super special to my heart: the establishment of the Kurtis Nishiyama Memorial Award in Architecture.
The Kurtis Nishiyama Memorial Award in Architecture has been established in loving memory of my beloved. It reflects Kurtis' commitment to elevating women and people of color in architecture and is designed to financially support students of color in the architecture program at the University of Calgary that demonstrate professional understanding and dedication to an inclusive practice of architecture.
It is the hope that, with your support, enough funds will be raised to endow the Kurtis Nishiyama Memorial Award in Architecture so that this award may exist in perpetuity.
If you would like to share the fundraising page (thank you!) here is the link:
Thank you for supporting my beloved’s continued legacy.
